Why the hate for lost posts?
Seems like when one lost post gives me a hard time, others like to pile on.
Or maybe they didn't?
But for some reasons a lot of you guys hate lost posts here.
Maybe they were just separated from their hate.
Or dislocated from their hate.
It hurts because I love this forum and always respected you guys here.
I can never keep the hate straight.

Whenever I lose a post, I just post it again. Twice.

Honestly I have no idea why people are so crazy over lost posts, I don't understand what's so special about your post count.
I think your post count equates to how big your e-peen is, so people who lose three or four posts in a two page thread get all upset.

Also, for the new folks, we had a thread around here with dozens and dozens of pages a few years back. I can't remember if the original poster deleted teh thread or if a mod did, but some people lost hundreds of posts, and I lost 40-50 myself. Some people were really upset that the thread had disappeared.
Some don't want things they've worked on to disappear. If I spend 15 minutes writing a post, I want it to remain. Deleting a thread where I put some real time into a post is, I think, an offense of capital rudeness.
And there are some who, unfortunately, see the post count as a badge of honor and don't want to lose that. Honestly, we perpetrate that by giving away post count titles and such.

Perhaps we should be arrested then?

I think, for the most part when people post a, "OMG! People Will Lose Posts!", post/thread, they do so with tongue firmly planted in cheek.
I don't think anybody actually takes it seriously.

If we didn't display post counts or titles there would be a lot less posts here and I doubt anyone would miss them.
