(TPG) FOFC Village Design Sign Up Thread

Since a couple folks like the idea of a FOFC created course for Total Pro Golf, I've decided to start the sign ups:

Name of the course will be Solecismic Pines GC, Par 72.

The Front 9 and Back 9 will each have 5 Par 4, 2 Par 3 and 2 Par 5 (10-4-4 for the full 18)

Depending on how many people sign up, we will break it up, so each person gets to design a section of the course.

If 2 sign up, one person will do the front 9, the other the back 9.
3 sign ups, #1 1-6, #2 7-12, #3 13-18
etc..

Basically, the first person to do the course will create the course, do their holes, and then upload the course somewhere so the next person can download it and continue editing.

We will try to break it down so you don't have to do all Par 4's :-)

I prefer a US Style course, although we certainly can have some UK-Links style holes if people want (Like St Andrews)

This is a great idea guys - Obviously when doing the course you have to do it one way or the other (either photoshop method or using the textures in the designer) but if you start up a photoshopped method one then everyone can work on their holes at the same time (since they just need to design them in photoshop) and send their pics to one guy who could go in and map them in the designer.

Since I can't do Photoshop, I did the first two holes in the Course Designer.

Downloaded and installed the KWhit textures (and uploaded them to the TPGCommunity site)

I'll do 1-6, RPI 7-12 and KWhit 13-18 , I guess as things stand :)

Well like I said it has to be one way or the other so since you're doing it in the designer that's fine - I was just mentioning it for maybe a group of guys good with photoshop to get together and work on. Even if none of them know or want to learn how to use the course designer someone else could handle the mapping part.

As I continue to play with the game and download courses, one thing has become clear - I like playing with the Photoshop courses better.

Since you'e already started, Fozz, let's go ahead and finish this one up, but maybe we can do another with Photoshop. Like Gary suggested, perhaps. I'm decent with Photoshop and can maybe do the images and somebody else can do the mapping.

Holes 1-6, ready for ya RPI.. just do holes 7-12, and make a YouSendIt link for KWhit to finish off.

Download it, place it in the wolverine studios/tpgcd/courses directory (make sure you have KWhit's textures if you want to see my holes with the corners blended and everything), and just go ahead and edit.
