Stop your ridiculously staged argument with Joe Theisman about how he likes Drew Bledsoe and how you think Tony Romo is going to take over his starting spot. Christ. We got your point in the 1st quarter after the 80th time mentioning it.

These goofs are going to kill Monday Night Football.

Yeah, it's a bit like watching old people eat. I don't know where ESPN got the idea that if you have a three-man booth that the two analysts have to fight no matter how make-believe it is, but I wish someone would disavow them of that notion.
I'm somewhat surprised how it's going down. I thought that getting away from Maguire might help Theisman, since the two of them just brought the goofy out in each other, and not in a good way. But instead of doing his schtick that got him the job, Kornheiser is trying to play the goofy foil to Theisman.
No matter how many times ESPN tries to convince us that this is Monday Night Football, it still just feels like Sunday Night Football on Monday. Maybe it'll get better when they have real games, but unless Kornheiser either wakes up or gets a burr up his ass, this is going to be a bore.

I love PTI, but I don't think this will work out. Theisssssmannnnn doesn't seem to take Tony's tongue-in-cheek things too well. We'll see what happens.
I have watched more preseason games than normal though (maybe cuz I'm football-starved).
I bet TK is on MNF for at most two years.

I'd prefer to see Theisman go and have Tony stay. Of course, I might change my mind about Tony as the year goes on.

Joe doesn't seem to like Tony. That's the vibe I get when I watch it and Tirico isn't a good enough street cop to get between the two and make it work smoothly.
But its still pre-season, so perhaps it'll get better. I don't like Thiesmann in the booth, though. Someone younger, a recent retiree seems like a better choice to me.

It's guys like Joe Theisman that make me miss the good ol' voice of Howard Cosell ...
"Hel-lo, this is How-ard Cos-ell and welcome to Mon-day Night Foot-ball ..."
