Currently, I have MVP 2005 on PS2. A little outdated. Guy across the street brought MLB: The Show over. I played only two games but it seemed to a be a much better game. Anyone have thoughts which they like better? I'm also curious which one has the better franchise/season modes.

I would take The Show over MVP.

The Show is very fun, me and my roomie have a dynasty.

But in dynasty mode, there is one potentially game-killer of a bug. Every offseason, it seems there is about a 50% shot your best player will somehow be transferred to a new team. No, not via Free Agency, just wha-lah, for instance my roomate is a loser who likes the Cardinals, and after the second year, Albert Pujols was missing, and we found him on the Mariners somehow. He got no players in return and had to trade back some of his better players just to get Albert back. Kinda shitty.

IMO The Show is miles ahead......to date the best sports game on PSP I've seen.

Thanks guys...I took my MVP and my store credit and went and picked up The Show this afternoon. I know I like the graphics, etc...the franchise mode seems very in depth too. I think it was the right call.

Yep, might be a system seller for the ps3.. but who knows.

It's my favorite console baseball game and when I had a psp, the best sports game, period.

Kinda shitty? Sounds like you have a 50% shot of ruining the franchise mode.
