woah, cool. Any idea if they'll make a versio for the Gamecube? I guess I could possibly find out on one of these gaming site though... :)

This game was the main reason why we got the cube for my son last Christmas and he's still playing it these days, even though he's about invincible and he can do about whatever he wants...

dola, and from that same gamepro page, with a quick search, I was able to see that this will be an automatic buy at some point this Fall :)

The demo was pretty fun, seemed to be a lot more to do in the new version. I'll probably be waiting awhile to get it, at least until first report cards come out...

Gamespot gave it a 7.7 and Ign gave it a 8.something.

Lego 1 is the "New" Star Wars and Lego 2 start with A New Hope. I never played Lego 1 but watched people play it at my buddies house.

I say you will have plenty of fun playing this as a coop game with her. My son asked me to come and play the #1 with him last weekend, even though he has done it all, and we had a blast. The first one is very well done but might not appeal to most of you as it covers episode 1 to 3. As was posted, this second one that comes out today covers the original three movies, which most of us grew up with. My son just loved the first Lego SW since ep 1 to 3 are the ones he grew up with. :)

We will definitely get this one, it's just a matter of time...

You replay the stories of the movies but with little lego figurines. There are things to do, places where you can use the force to move objects, places where you can use your lightsaber to unveil little gold coins an special starship parts.

Can be played alone, or in coop mode.

I play the original lego star wars with my daughter on weekends that i have her. She loves it alot, and not really because of the movies, she just thinks its great.

If the new one is as good or better, I'll be buying it easily for her (and me) to play.

I agree, as I said, for a coop game with wife/gf. It's not really violet, other than seeing lego pieces smacked to pieces, but you can still whirl a lightsaber around :)
