My googling of Floyd Boudreaux also revealed an IHOF player with that name. I'm guessing it's him.

Ahh, I skimmed the link very quickly and didn't actually click on it. Very cool idea (like many of the things implented in IHOF.)

Yup. The main benefit really is that it allows someone to at least "appear" to be objective and not get attacked as being biased in their opinions.

It doesn't mean they aren't biased, but it's just less obvious and allows for a little more suspension of reality.
