He was offer more money to go back to the CBS show.

I was under the impression they initially hired him to be able to do game broadcasts and studio hosting again, but I saw he is in the studio for NFL, maybe to do some college basketball broadcasts as well?

I remember the talk about him doing games as well. At the time there were a lot of guys saying you couldn't moderate without being in studio. I guess CBS came to the same conclusion.
