Wow. Kudos to him for playing through it.

Major Applewhite would have taken the spleen out himself, using one of his own spikes.

I have no idea who you are, but you just made me laugh.
what really would have been funny is if steve young called him a pussy again.
Simms needs to have emergency surgery to have his starting job removed.
Dola, I was listening to the 4th quarter on the radio and the loveable homer radio announcer had just named Simms the Player of the Game at the two minute warning, then dropped in a disclaimer that he hopes Chris proves worthy of the award by converting this key third down.
Of course, with one completion needed to ice the game, Galloway is overthrown, and the Panthers do what everyone in the stadium had to have been expecting.

He may be better off for it. Spleen's aren't necessary. They're helpful, but not required. They really just sort of exist to be ruptured. Peter Forsberg doesn't have a spleen. He plays just fine.

Well, all things being relative, we are still talking about Chris Simms. Playing "fine" is not his strong suit, spleen or not.

I wonder if that spleen was the spitting image of his dead career.

I consider it an insult that you guys keep talking about me and Chris Simms in the same sentence. All of you have been reported and bannings should be coming along shortly.

Am I the only one who noticed that he played BETTER with a ruptured spleen? I think taking it out was a mistake.

You can take away his spleen, but not his smile!

All football players should have their spleens removed in the summer between their senior year in college and rookie season as a preventative measure.

I can't over that fact as well. Weird. It is like he needed to be near death to be able to play. Maybe they need to start stabbing him before each game.

It doesn't seem like there would be a shortage of volunteers. If he played for the Titans the coaching staff would have done it.
