A little prediction on how the war with Iraq would play out.

Another little prediction:

In 2-3 days we win the war itself relatively painlessly, it is revealed how much France and Germany collaborated with Saddam, France gets kicked out of NATO, the UN becomes as useful as the League of Nations, Iraqi citizens rejoice and their lives improve.

If are leaders were mentally retarded cartoon characters that might be realistic. Some how I think that this prediction is more anti-bush than anti-war.

I know it's just a cartoon but I'm afraid a lot of this could come to pass.

God bless our politicians and soldiers that they know the right decisions to make.

Yes, Hussein may be the Kadafi of the 21st century but the leaders in D.C. better make damn sure he is because the turmoil in the Middle East right now may look like a field day after we invade Iraq. God bless our soldiers if Hussein decides to set up in Baghdad. I'd like to see the U.S. avoid its version of Stalingrad.

The U.S. warned Hussein of the consequences if he used biological/chemical weapons (some U.S. troops claim he used them anyways) but he knew he had a chance to remain in power during the first Gulf War. He has nothing to lose now.

I wish Colin Powell were President. I think Bush is doing a good job, but I trust the man who has faced bullets and seen men die next to him more than Bush, Rumsfeld, Rice and the rest of the civilian leaders. I hope we haven't become complacent and assume wars are easy technological affairs because this one could be bloody if we don't have to fight in open desert and the Israel vs. Islam states fued could become lethal.

BTW, thought the "haven't forgiven them for what they did to Jimmy Carter" quote was hilarious. :D

Crazy situation, we're about to lose our European allies for the first time in fifty years. I hope Bush knows what he's doing. We thought the anti-American sentiment was bad now, wait until after this invasion.

You mean our current president isn't a mentally retarded puppet?

Ok, I may be ignorant but weren't we talking about a ground war? Wouldn't that take a bit longer than 3 days? Also, didn't we already find France's hands in some illegal dealings involving Iraqi oil?

Well, people are looking at what we did to them in Gulf War I and concluding that we will win just as quickly. What people seem to overlook is that when you are fighting street to street and house to house, a lot of the technological advantage gets thrown out of the window. It's going to be bloody and last a lot longer than three days. :(

Yeah, I seem to remember us doing something like that in Serbia and Croatia and that was anything but a cakewalk.

The air war has been going on for 12 years, and we already have SpecOps in Iraq disrupting communication, pinpointing locations and liasoning with potential Iraqi defectors. Once we actually declare war, we will probably step up the air war for a couple of days, maybe a week, then start rolling the tanks in, where I am guessing most Iraqis in the army will defect or surrender as they did in the first Gulf War. This timetable is longer than 3 days, but I was exaggerating, as that video did.

To an extent, but I still think that both French and German companies have been collaborating more than acknowledged so far. If they were doing it for oil, the US Gov't would probably let it slide, but if it was weapons, etc. with Saddam, it will probably not be so smooth.

EDIT: Just found this site http://www.methaz.com/blogpics/iraq.html where you can view commercial satellite images of key Iraqi locations.
