View Full Version : Good news!
Just a few minutes ago, my doc stopped me on the way to the shop and told me my latest blood test came in. The meds I've been taking for my thyroid officially have me back to normal!
I'll have another test in a month and then the ultrasound in December...but it's good to hear I'm "normal."

That's a matter of opinion, AE...
(1) Odds on someone making a Geico joke out of this?
(2) Seriously, congrats.

There's a geico joke in this?
Sure. Since you aren't a professional, we're going to get the announcer guy from the movies to tell everyone!
Is this like a new commercial thing? I don't get commercials out here.

No one remembers the old Geico commercials???
"Well, Tom, I have some good news for you.."
"They've found a cure?"
"oh, No! I just saved a bunch of money on my insurance by switiching to Geico!"

Congrats. Now instead of being sick in a shithole, you're just in a shithole. At least you will be home soon, hopefully.
About 2 and half months. December 16th I'm scheduled to fly out of here...I'm assuming a day or two later I'll be in Norfolk. Bus ride to Columbia, SC...turn in my Army of One gear. Day or two later I'll fly to Chicago...check in, head home to Missouri and my wife for Christmas stand down.
If all goes well, I may be home, really home, by about December 22nd.

That's awesome.
Of course, I'm sure you feel really bad for the guy replacing you and sitting in Africa on Christmas day. ;)
Shoot. That reminds me. I need to email him before I go to bed. :)
