Disney has a RPG site called Toontown, obviously geared for kids. Anthony is driving me crazy wanting to join, but I don't know anything about RPG's to begin with, and I don't know much about video games and stuff in general. Does anyone here know anything about this site? Heard whether it's good or bad, anything on there I should be worried about?

My 7 year old daughter(maybe even 6 at that time) played for a month or so until she lost interest. Sometimes you can get lucky and find a two month subscription for under 20 bucks. Seemed pretty harmless to me.

Thanks...they are doing a free 3 day trial right now, I might sign him up for that and see what happens. Just really don't see the point of paying for that when he has the Nintendo DS he can play for free...

I'd just let him do the trial, and perhaps a full month of subscription. Chances are he will tire of it by then. If not, it's not terribly expensive either, I just told my daughter it would come out of her allowance if she wanted to keep playing.

Look, if Hell Atlantic wants to join, let him. How else is he going to find a gym full of five year olds to beat the crap out of?

I actually played it for quite a while a few years ago while it was a free beta. Very easy to play, very kid friendly, nothing to worry about really. I had fun with it because I was in a large group that played together. Not sure how much fun it would be by myself though, so I guess I would ask if your son has friends that play.

My wife and I played with our daughter. Her brother and his kids play as well.

It is simply a great game for kids. They can only talk to each other through pre-defined menu selections, so you don't have to worry about pedophiles targetting your kid. I should note that there are ways to talk openly with a select set of "friends" by privately sharing codes outside of the game.

The concept is great. The kids enjoy it. I found that it got old pretty quick, but my daughter still wants to play quite frequently. My wife and her brother played a lot longer than me. I'm a relative noob, because I wouldn't invest the time.

Great fun. I recommend it.
