M GO BLUE!!!

I loved my Panasonic DMR-E85H HDD/DVD Recorder. It was having a problem, so I took it to Best Buy (I paid for the four year warranty, I might as well use it!) I got the call today that it has been sent to the great electronics bin in the sky...
Tomorrow I get to head to Best Buy and pick up a comparable new model, free of charge! The catch being, of course, that the comparable model is not listed on their website. I called their customer service online and all they could tell me is that they may have it in the stores, but not online. They better, because all they could say that they'll give me is the original price I paid plus a prorated portion of the warranty as store credit otherwise. If that is the case, I will not be a happy man as I would have to come out my own pocket to replace it.
I do miss the convenience of recording shows to the HDD unit... This whole VCR thing really blows.

Ever since we got our DVR, we'ved loved it. It's changed how we watch TV. We'll intentionally sit down to watch something late so we don't have any commercial interruptions.
There is no more choosing between MNF and Prison Break/Heroes/Studio 60 nor do we have to choose between Survivor and Earl/Office. We aren't tied to our TV in order to watch shows. We aren't annoyed by phone calls during our shows. We have sampled much of the fall season simply by recording the episodes and watching them later.
It's great.

Except it is spelled qat...
a great u-less q-dump in scrabble.
From Webster's online:
Main Entry: khat http://www.m-w.com/images/audio.gif (javascript:popWin('/cgi-bin/audio.pl?khat0001.wav=khat'))
Variant(s): also qat or kat /<TT>'kät</TT>/
Function: noun
Etymology: Arabic qAt
: a shrub (Catha edulis) of the staff-tree family cultivated in the Middle East and Africa for its leaves and buds that are the source of a habituating stimulant when chewed or used as a tea; also : its leaves and buds
Out here I've seen all three spellings, plus a few made up ones.
