Hey folks,

This is a dumb question, but for the life of me I can't find the answer anywhere....

I've just started a new client engagement that has me flying out to San Francisco (I'm posting from the hotel right now before heading out to the site, in fact). I'll be doing this through March, probably, including flying out Monday and flying back on Thursday.

Here's the question: When is Monday Night Football shown on the West Coast? Is it live (so at 5:30 PM or thereabouts), or is it on delay (so at 7:30 or 8:30 PM)?

Also, if anyone has some restaurant recommendations for the area (I'm in Foster City, but don't mind heading up to SF at all) and/or tips on where I can find Ultimate Frisbee games (or heck, any other tips), I'd appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

I don't think it gets delayed.

It's live.

When you are in SF I highly reccomend going out and visiting places on Polk Street.

It's 3 hours earlier than whenever it shows on the East Coast.

Regarding restaurants - it really depends what you're looking for. San Francisco has some of the best fine dining in the states, equalled only by New York. Then again, if $60 a meal isn't exactly what you're looking for, we have some good cheap eats too. The food section of the Chronicle (sfgate.com) is a good place to start. For example, the recent article on the best tacquerias in the area...

That would rock to be able to wake up at 10AM on sunday and watch football all day.

That would rock to be able to wake up at 10AM on sunday and watch football all day.

it takes a while to get used to alarm clocks and being drunk by noon for 10 am football...but in the end, all sports are done by 8, so you still have a full night of tv in front of you, or you can go out. there are advantages.

disadvantages: the super bowl is on at like 2 here. which is very weird to me.

other advantage, fights are over here by like 10 or 11, so again, whole night ahead of you.

heh when MNF was on abc , we in hawaii had to wait for HOURS to watch it. that sucked horribly because everyone knows people in hawaii don't work after 2:00 pm...

Thanks for all the good info folks, I really appreciate it. Amazing, though. People out here must have to rush out of work to catch MNF on time (or use Tivos). :D
