Is it considered a sack if the QB is hit behind the line while running a QB draw, or the option?

Is it considered a sack if the QB is hit behind the line while running a QB draw, or the option? Not sure, but I know that it is considered negative rushing yardage, whether it is a sack, QB draw, option, or whatever.

It seems like once the QB starts to run with the ball w/o being forced to because of a defender coming at him then they consider that a run and not a sack. So if he gets tackled behind the line of scrimmage, it's considered just a negative run as opposed to a sack. I could be off on this.

Definition: Any tackle of the quarterback behind the line of scrimmage.
Deacon Jones coined the term "sack" and int the NFL, the stat only compiles sacks from 1982 on.

It's only a sack if the play's intent was to pass the football.
