Did you ever get that house built that HA hates so much? :)

Sounds like not quite yet:

While the last two years have been more family-focused, with no new products seeing release, 2006 will mark several changes for the company. We will release a fully updated version of one of our football games this year. We will also move our office (and home) to Michigan at the start of 2007 to be closer to family. That's become more important as our three-year-old son, Gregory, continues to develop in his own manner. We broke ground on our new home at the beginning of March.

Jim has 84 days to release a game.

What frightens me is this line:

What manner is he developing in? Isn't it the usual manner little boys develop in, or has he grown gills and flippers or something even more original?

Expect Front Office Sesame Street sometime in 2007.

he can talk about his house all he wants as soon as his game is released.

Plenty of little boys and girls are developmentally delayed. I have no idea if that is what he is referring to, but it probably wouldn't hurt to err on the side of caution when joking about it...

While I have no idea what issues Jim's son may or may not have, as a father who's own son is "developing in his own way" due to autism, I would suggest (as Subby just wrote) this probably isn't a joking matter.

I don't think he meant anything by his comments.

SD can quote stuff from Jim's website all he wants. It's good to have a cliff clavin on the board.

If there's still a game coming out this year, I expect some sort of news by no later than before Thanksgiving. Until then, I will be patient and not surprised at the lack of info.

I'm kind of rooting for no game the ensuing angst.

Much like news of Maximum Football 2 would set the forum on fire, I agree that would hold the highest non-game-playing entertainment value here.

For some reason today, the patience part of my brain failed to start and I just had to let it out... you with me? Guess not... :D

I see your loophole, not stating the year.

He means December 31st, the year 5768 (and thats not the jewish year either).

It's all in fun, I just think the community is ansy for a new sim built by the man who not only just built his house, but literrally built this house as well.

We all love the other text sim designers, but it's Jim we eagerly await and only Jim who can destroy any game we are currently "into". It's something only an FOFC'er can understand.

Idle speculation: I haven't really seen Jim around here much lately. My assumption is that coding is coming down to crunch time and that we can (hopefully) expect an announcement soon.

So if he isn't here, he must be working then? Talk about cracking the whip on himself! I woud figure since he isn't here, maybe he is working on the house (details/plans) and taking care of his family?

Idol Speculation: Jim is actually trying out for American Idol - and once that experiment fails - he'll be back with FO:AI.

Book it!
