Well, I'm moving out of the QA world in into the wonderful world of SQL. Today I got my offer letter for a Database Engineer position, and I'm very excited. I'll be doing more administration than programming, but I should have time to do some one-off projects, and learning about administration will be a good thing as well. It's an internal transfer, but thankfully not lateral. :)

yes, although there was reason to fear that it would be lateral. they really came through for me.

and yes, it's SQL Server 2000, soon to be 2005.
