Wow, whats up with NW pennsylvania being saddled with the lame ass Bills/Lions game? Eries is less than an hour from Cleveland, you'd think the Cincy Tampa game would be more popular there. And look at the area around baltimore for the afternoon game, WTF? people in Delaware and lower maryland don't want to see the Ravens play?

Some real issues with game distribution this week I think.

I don't know much about the NW Pennsylvania area, and that part of the map seems weird to me, too. As far as Delaware and lower Maryland, I'm going to guess that Delaware is actually a secondary Philadelphia market, and the lower Maryland area may be a Redskins market, but I'm not sure about either of those things.

They threw a dart and it landed on the Seattle/STL game.

I guess DC is getting PHI/NO due to game impacting the NFC East standings and so people can tune to Redskins on CBS. Ravens game would cut ratings of Redskins and normally DC would have gotten a 4:05pm if there was one scheduled.

Erie is a defacto Steelers/Browns/Bills city, with basically no ties to cincy whatsoever. I'm just glad we get the Cincy game where I live.

What's up with the Idaho/Montana/Wyoming patch getting the Cincy/Tampa game?

I was going to ask that also. That one was out of left field.

That was one of two questions I had about the map.

The other was Alaska for the noon game. The lower/mid part with Anchorage gets DET/BUF while Juneau on the lowest part and the part with absolutely no population gets HOU/DAL. Huh?

There's no CBS affiliate in a lot of those areas - so any game they're getting would be on some kind of regional or local cable network, which wouldn't be playing by the same primary/secondary market rules that everyone else does. I imagine it's basically random, and I bet the individual commnunities in rural Alaska vary in coverage more than the map indicates (The Networks and the NFL don't sit with the map and "fill it in" as it makes sense - there's going to be some anomalies based on lack of TV that aren't intentionally planned)
