I have Grossman and Hasselbeck as my QBs in my fantasy football league. My one loss so far this year has come from starting Hasselbeck instead of Grossman in the Seahawks vs. Bears game. If I had started Grossman that game I would have won.

Fast forward to this week. I'm up by 20 pints heading into the Monday night game with Grossman and Berrian. My opponent has Thomas Jones and Boldin.

So far Boldin has a touchdown and about 60 yards and Grossman has -8 points on 2 interceptions and 2 lost fumbles. This game ain't over yet, but it looks like possibly another week where my choice of starting QB may cost me the game. Oh the insanity, I have two great QBs and they're killing me! Maybe I should trade one of them and at least put myself out of the weekly anguish of what could have been.

Dola.

Ok, so I think it's official now. Grossman SINGLEHANDEDLY lost the game for me tonight. I think he is going to end up with around -12 points. Add to that Boldin's 10 or so (not sure how many yards he had) and this turns into a disaster of a monday night for my team.

Sigh...

I might personally hold the all time record for Monday Night jinxes. I've had insurmountable leads with a RB to go, and lost to a team with only a middle linebacker going. I've lost a game where I had a double digit lead going into Monday night, and the other guy had Jim Skow. Skow got his season total two and a half sacks that night. I was WAY up when Jo Jo Townsell ran back a 95 yard KO return when we were experimenting giving one point for every five return yards. I was up by forty four one Halloween when Eric Dickerson suited up for Indianapolis and ran for one hundred and sixty five yards and four touch downs. I've lost games where I was ahead, and my opponent had no one playing on Monday night. For years I wouldn't play guys on Monday unless they were stronger than my curse. Guys like Joe Montana and Emmit Smith. I have more Monday night war stories, I've been playing fantasy football for over twenty years and I fear Monday Nights.

Wow.

I hope this doesn't develop into a curse of that magnitude. But it's now official for this week - I lost by 3 points after being up by 19. If I'd started no QB at all I still would have won! At least Rex has a bye next week so I'm not tormented with the starting QB decision again.

If it makes you feel any better, I have the same two QBs in one league and I also went with Grossman. Didn't end up impacting my result, but it wasn't a bad call at the time.
