Short story:
I draft RB Britt Jordan in 2008 and QB Glen Ginste in 2010. They are to be the cornerstones of my offense. Britt was OK, but not worth the contract he asked for following the 2010 season. Ginste led us to 6-10, 9-7 and 8-8 seasons in his first three years without ever making the playoffs. The rest of my team was aging and I was about to blow the whole team up, especially when Jake Delhomme, the top QB in the league thus far, hit FA. I lost a pretty good bidding war for his services.
We hit 2013, knowing this is the last chance before I tear this team up and try again. We go 12-4 and make the playoffs, only to face Seattle and Britt Jordan in the Divisionals. Jordan would later be named Offensive Player of the Year for this season, but we win 34-17. In the Conference Championships we face San Francisco, who have been to 3 of the last 4 Superbowls, winning 2 of them. We win 16-13 after tying it with 0:00 on the clock and winning in OT. In the Superbowl we face Baltimore and their QB is none other than Jake Delhomme. We whip them 38-10 and fulfill our destiny.
