On the NFLPA question, that one is a bit tricky. I think I recall that the NFLPA as simply a player representation mechanism was founded in the mid 50's, like 55 or 56. But as an actual union, it wasn't officially "unionized" until the late 60's - maybe 67-68, something like that.

I think my answer is 1956, if that's what you are referring to as the NFLPA. As a union, I think it's 1968, but I could be wrong. It's been 7 years since my sports law class. :)
