Is there a file or a way to add this to your league?

I'd like to have all current records for league and teams while starting a new game. The real NFL experience.

Hmm this is a good question, but I've never heard of a way to do this.

I'm pretty sure the reason they are not with the game is that Stats inc owns the data that's not in newspapers so alot of the fields would be blank.

To answer your question as of right now no you can't. You could always put the suggestion in and maybe it is something that can get implemented in the future. Although the way the data is stored may not allow it.

I'm pretty sure the reason it's not there is that it would be mind-numbing to compile the data into a player file for the game and not worth the investment of resources. Stats Inc. is losing their claim that stats are proprietary.

I'm sure there are people out there who would be willing to invest the the time in creating a file with the stats, but part two of the equation is that while Jim has provided tools for creating roster files, there are still parts of the game where the data is encrypted to prevent tampering and reverse-engineering. I doubt Jim would want to make the tools available to provide a statisical history for an established professional league if it compromised data security, which I'm sure it would.
