I thought it was part of their contract with NBC to have every game shown nationally.

That's only for home games. For roadies, usually ESPN or ABC or CBS picks up the game.

Home games. The game is at the AFA.

For the first time since 1992, a Notre Dame football game will not be shown by either NBC, ABC, CBS or ESPN -- a streak of 169 straight games. The game will be shown on CBS Corp.'s CSTV, a college sports network normally seen in about 15 million homes.
And this weekend is a free weekend for CSTV for Comcast. Coinsidence? I think not.
HA! HA! ND HATERS!

Time Warner also has the free weekend. In fact it says, "Featuring Notre Dame at Air Force on Saturday, November 11th. Millions of Notre Dame football fans across the country want to watch this game!"

No, we have crappy Charter cable out here. I went ahead and order the sports tier addon that has a couple of the regional sports networks like cstv. It was 5 bucks amonth not bad.

Was I the only one who thought of wah-wah guitars when reading the thread title?

Uh Gents, the title and original posting has to do with the fact that the national media has picked this up as a story...
...A normal regular season game between ranked and un-ranked teams generating national press because of the lack of a National TV broadcast on one of the major networks?... Only ND would get press for something of this nature.. That's the reasoning for my original comments.

I believe DirecTV is the same.

I get CSTV and a few fox college stations for $3 a month. It was a bargain before, even moreso now.
