OT: Pancakes or Waffles?

I had a stack of slap jacks this morning with peanut butter melted on each one them and drowned in a little syrup with some strips of smoked bacon, yum, yum!

What do you guys prefer? Pancakes or Waffles?

Anybody else eat peanut butter spread across your pancakes or waffles?

Or is it just me?

I would pick waffles, but pancakes are easier to make, so that is what I usually get. and yes I also put peanut butter on them, of course, I put peanut butter on most everything

French toast ... but waffles over pancakes. My wife and I tried to make some whole wheat pancakes the other day, and they weren't all that bad. She made some "good" bread and we're going to make some french toast with it soon. We're trying to eliminate a lot of sugars, carbs, and "bad" flour. It sucks, because breakfast is my favorite meal.

Acutally a nice breakfast.. (Pancakes, Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, etc..) makes me feel like complete crap the rest of the day.

My stomach is upset and I get one of those nagging small headaches that just won't go away.. That and you get that nasty breakfast taste all day long that won't go away no matter what the hell you do..

Dude...i'm not a DR. by any stretch of the imagination...but this is a cornary waiting to happen...i felt my arteries tightening just reading this post :D

Huh? Peanut butter? I dont know about that one, but I might try it.

I cant eat a large meal for beakfast on weekdays. It just ruins my day. However on the weekend its a whole different story. I love a big stack of pancakes along with bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, OJ and milk. Of course after I eat that I have to lay around and not move for five hours.

To me, there are four ways to eat pancakes...

1) Butter and maple syrup, mmm-mmm good.

2) Plain with jam spread over them, rolled up into crepe-like thingies.

3) Peanut Butter and Syrup, also great.

4) Best of all, with tons of chocolate chips on top of them, under them, and in between each pancake so they all melt and get all gooey. Put a very minimal amount of syrup over the top of that, and you're in business :)

Pancakes and Waffles are equivalent, in my book, and French Toast definitely beats them both out.

I'll go with waffles, but it's hard to argue with either. I've put PB&J on pancakes before. Or apple butter. I'll even eat them left over, warmed in the microwave or toasted with just butter - kind of like an english muffin.

Cooked soggy bread. My least favorite breakfast food.

Rich, you do it no justice :)

First, you mix up some raw eggs, some vanilla extract, and whatever other goodies for flavor you would like to add, then you dip a piece of bread into the mixture, and put the dipped bread onto a pancake griddle. 'Toast' it, and you're done! Add some syrup, powdered sugar, cinnamon, maybe some whipped cream and you're ready to enjoy a great breakfast.

PS, I'm not much of a cook, so if someone has a better recipe, please feel free to enhance/shoot down mine :)
