Simple question. Poll coming.
I use 150, not as low as 100 not as high as 200.
The perfect world for me would be numbers of injuries like when the setting is at 200 or maybe even more, but the number of career ending ones way lower, like at 100.

Just started, so thought I would try 200, whereas I'd always done 100 previously.

Same, even if the career threatening injuries are realistic(which is debatable).

I have always used 100. Mostly because I don't have a lot of time to play the game a lot. So I really can't follow every detail as much as everyone else. Plus I suck at the game.

I use 100, but have found that I can skate through whole seasons with little impact from injuries. I think for my next career, I'll try 150.

100 does seem a whole lot softer than before. I'll probably crank it up a bit as well.

200 is the only way to go.

I used 100 for my first career, but now that I'm starting what will hopefully be a very long term career, I'm going to use 150.

I always use 100, but after hearing that injuries seem softer, I might start out on 200.

Damn straight. I'll randomly just pick a player and break his limb, just so I can get Sylvester Stallone in the game. Clean break, my ass.

I stick with 100. I'm one of those guys who can't handle conflict, and having absolutely realistic injuries would just conflict the heck out of me.

200 is the way to go...I actually think it could even go higher (too bad it can't). Needs to be more minor injuries. If you look at normal NFL weekly injury reports, they have a lot more on it then currently shows up within the game.

Can you switch setting mid-career? I've noticed that in my career, it appears you can change the global option mid-stream but does it have an effect?

(Of course, on the other end of the spectre, some key players sit on "questionable" for about a month and end up being inactive every single sunday of that month.)

I would definitely use 200 for injuries if it wasn't for the amount of career ending injuries. I used 120 for 2k4, I'll probably up it some for 2k7 but not as high as 200.

You're right. Yesterday I finally started my SP career but due to playing around with it previously I had my injury setting to 0. I thought it was weird when I played through my two exhibition games and there were no injuries in the league. I changed it to 100 and injuries started to appear.

BTW: On an related topic.
I absolutely LOVE being able to click an injury on the player card to determine whether or not it is safe to play a "questionable" player and being able to gauge the probability of re-injury.
It makes me feel like I have more control over my roster. Should I choose to play a starter with a questionable injury w/ high propensity of being re-injured and he sustains a serious injury; its my own stupid fault for taking the risk of playing him. In the past, I felt it was just dumb luck whether some injuries would be more susceptible to re-injury or not.

I'll second this. Injury/roster management is going to be tons of fun.

Ditto. Even with 150, I've already had a few career ending injuries just on my team, however, I'll keep it at 150 because I'm not having quite enough minor injuries.

Revisiting this yet again and since patch c, I've stayed with the default 100 setting and although the injures are lower than average, I like having the stars of the league matter more.
Feels to me like it rewards teams who like to keep their core together over teams with a lot of medicore players.

Based on recent discussions, I've bumped it up from 100 to 150. I'm interested to see what happens.

I am currently using 150 with 6.0c. I already have two players with season ending injuries, but not a lot of minor one.
Has anyone noticed a difference with injuries using the most current patch with setting at 200? I want to use that setting but don't want to see a lot more season ending injuries. It seems just right at 150. However I do want to bump up the minor ones if it is possible.

I'll start tracking my season-ending ones (at 200).

I had one season ending injury through the preseason and one 10 week injury. Week one I had a 15 week injury. I might have to turn it down to 150 as I have more injuries than any other team.

I've been using the default setting.
For me, I'll sacrifice the extra bit of realism that comes with more injuries in exchange for spending less time micro-managing the numerous depth charts as a result of frequent injuries. I've always found the injury-related roster management to be the most tedious part of the game, so easing up on this helps my enjoyment of the game.
Just personal preference...

I happened to be in the middle of a career with 200 injury setting. Looking at the last three years, here are the number of season ending injuries I saw:
Year 1 - 47 (averages 1.46 per team)
Year 2 - 67 (averages 2.09 per team)
Year 3 - 60 (averages 1.87 per team)
Unfortuantely, not sure how it really matches up to the real nfl. On the surface, doesn't look bad. I have to believe most teams this season have suffered at least 2 season ending injuries (I know my personal favorite has and more). This might even be lower then the NFL.
I understand it being difficult and tedious to manage the roster for injured players, but I really think that is part of the game. A lot of times the players can still play, but just at a lesser value. Deciding whether to start an injured player or not is important when doing matchups.
At least for me, 200 offers the most realistic, even if tedious, experience.

Thank you for this info. I will bump it up to 200. I since the season ending injuries don't seem that bad.
