It looks like the Chargers have made the right choice twice in a row concerning 1st round QBs since the disaster of drafting Ryan Leaf. First, they traded the rights to draft Vick and got Tomlinson, the best back in the game. Then, they got Rivers instead of Manning, which is looking like a good deal as well (with limited data on Rivers). This isn't even considering other high picks that came in those deals.
Nice job, San Diego Super Chargers!

Splitting hairs but Brees was the first pick of the 2nd round, either way, they're doing MUCH better. :)
Edit: Nevermind, misunderstood, but I guess you could look at Brees as a third good top of the draft QB decision...

Brees with 510 yards yesterday... Saints only score 16. I'm still trying to figure that one out.

To be fair the Chargers wanted both Manning and Vick over the guys they took. It has certainyl worked out well for them, but if Vick had been more reasonable in his contract negotiations or Manning hadn't thrown a hissy then things would have likely gone differently.

Meh, we won an AFL Championship and made 2 others. Our 1963 squad would have waxed the 1963 bears NFL champions, too.

It's better to be lucky than smart.:)

It feels wierd to say this, but i might actually enjoy watching the Chargers play more then the Colts this season. Usually watching Peyton Manning embaress 90% of the defenses he plays against is fun, but LT is quite simply the best RB on this century and Mr. Rivers just doesn't quit.
God i wish my sorry ass Redskins would actually draft some players instead of giving away all of our drafts picks and overpaying for overated free agrents. Thank god Jason Campbell showed some skill on sunday.
