New Orleans, with Bush and Deuce still, signed the top FA RB, Chris Brown.
Now, with the first round pick in the draft the Titans selected Brady Quinn. He looks great in this game and could be deserving of the pick but not for a team that already has a franchise QB (Vince Young).
Vince Young only appeared in 6 games, starting one. He didn't play that well but c'mon!

Maybe I'll see a trade here?!?! That would be sweet and would be something cool for Jim to think about adding (a team with the 1st pick taking the coveted player if a trade could not have been worked out earlier).

Doubt you'll see a trade.

I'm seeing a few teams select the same position very high. I don't think it is a problem, like FOF in the past, when a team would not register the previous picks, but instead I think it is a case in which the teams can see the ratings of their players as soon as they draft him...if the player appears lower than they had anticipated they redraft the position.
The team should assume its previous picks are ok. The house rule for human teams would be to not check out your draft picks until after the draft.
Actually I was going to post about this in the bug thread but decided against it. In my league Green Bay has Aaron Rogers and some game created guy they drafted I believe with the second pick.
Aaron Rogers is rated as good while the GC(game created) player has the potential to be very good/borderline excellent. It has been eight seasons and besides maybe one or two starts a season the GC hasnt developed and still has very high green bars.
I changed teams and tried to trade for this QB and the computer refused to trade him. I mean they aren't using him and I was offering a first round choice.

As far as the drafting, it's hard to say what drafting is realistic and what isn't.
My Packers were coming off a Super Bowl win, and I had the 1(32) and 2(1) picks. I had a 3-time MVP QB still in his 10th year, but I drafted a QB with 2(1) when there were other players I should have drafted instead. Other teams probably would have raised their eyebrow at my decision, but I thought this 2(1) QB was a can't-miss guy. Unfortunately, his future rating via my scout keeps going down every year, and it was clearly a foolish move as he's now an 18/41, on a different team in his 3rd year as I cut him.
I also often draft the same position 2nd and 3rd rounds.

Yep, I think the draft as well as most parts of the game have improved from 2k4.
