I do not understand the problem with the game. I put the current rosters on the game. Then I play a season...every thing goes well. I try to do an amatuer draft and everyone is labeled as a kicker or tackle. Even if they are a QB or RB, there are tackle or kicker ratings and they will not change. I cannot do a draft cause I have no idea what position they actually play. Anybody have this problem...

This is a copy protection problem. Jim has the game set to do freaky things to the rosters to discourage piracy. You'll need to reinstall the game.

When entering your registration information, entering your name and serial number EXACTLY as it appears. That should correct the problem.

Is this a legit copy? If not, it can create that problem and you won't be able to play unless you fork over the bucks. If it is a legal copy you might want to uninstall and reinstall making sure you enter the proper name and serial number (exactly as it appears on the slip included with the game).

One out of every 5 games Jim sends out does this. It's a contest and you won! Now you can turn it in for a free box of Ms. Field's cookies or you can get into the grand drawing for a new BMW. :)

Wow this is better than Publishers Clearing House.

It appears that the most common copy protection problem is that people miss that the registration info lists your last name as all lower case. Make sure not to capitalize it.

I had the same problem. I reinstalled the game and it has been fine ever since.

I think many people have made this mistake but are too embarassed to admit it. Of course I would never have made that mistake. :p A simple reinstallation and entering in the information exactly (no capitol letters in last name) as it is on the receipt, and you should be good to go.

I was on the board enough before I got the game that I had seen all the warning to enter it in EXACTLY and managed to get it right the first time. Lucky me.
