When did The Sideline originate?

Damn. A long time ago.

Somewhere around July-August 1999, just before the first FOF was released. I wonder if that gives me the longest "tenure" of any poster here.

August of 1999 I was just starting my freshman year at the University of Missouri, and FOF2's release was impending.

You probably wanna go back maybe to '98 sometime, as I remember the Sideline being around during my cross country days (I ran cross country the fall of the '96-'97, 97-'98, and '98-'99 school years), and it was *definitely* there at least as early as my junior year ('97-'98).

The original FOF game was released in late '98. That sounds about right for FOF1 now that you mention it, because it hit me that I specifically remember that I was already married when FOF1 was released. Our wedding date was 5/16/98.

I remember the board getting out of hand, so I volunteered to be moderator right before FOF2 came out. I had been there for a while, so Tony gave me the thankless task.

I made my purchase of FOF1 in April of '99 and I could swear I showed up to the Sidelines as a 2nd generation type... ????

We were complaining about the fact that a FB didn't have blocking stats....now when the patch was released...I couldn't tell you.
