I think I'm the only person in Japan, over twelve years old, not to own a cell phone.

I don't, but am thinking of getting one for emergancies. On New Year's Day (night) at like 1 AM my car broke down. I was lucky that someone else had done what I did (gone through a big ass mini-flood by accident) and I was able to use their cell-phone. But if they had not been there, I'd really have been screwed. Cause there was no civilization for a few miles and it was pouring rain...

And before you say anything Fritz, the people that broke down before me were driving an SUV. So even they will stall and die when going through water. ;)

Anyway, joking aside, I've been lucky so far with emergancies and such. So I think I'll quit while I'm ahead and get one just in case I ever need it.

Well, for instance, in France you'll have a hard time finding someone without a cell phone (especially in the Paris area). It's almost unconceivable now !
