I love to use the print function in FOF2K7 ( especially with the MultiPlayer ). I remember printing being relatively easy.

Now, it is a bunch of work. If I print from a roster screen to, say, pdf it uses the arial font and nothing is lined up. Printing the log/box scores prints out html when all i want is a nice little text file.

Jim, can you make it such that we can choose between HTML and plain old text output? And can all the printing be fixed width fonts?

I created a generic text printer on my pc, but that is also a bunch more steps than should be necessary.

Apparently you have an issue on your PC. Printing lines up just fine on mine, and I've seen plenty of dynasty threads with perfect posts, so I'm not alone.

what should be obvious (because I'm using the code tag) is that every line has a CRLF at the end. Ack! I paste this into Word (then change the font to Courier New) so I can increase margins and get more on a page than the default. But, every line is a new paragraph. So, to get it to wrap, I have to strip the CRLF from the end of each line.

If I don't put this in Word, it prints about 9 pages. In Word I can squeeze it down to about 4.

Also, if I don't paste the rosters into Word, it wraps some of the lines and that is terrible.

And this is what a pdf looks like:

Here's an example of the CRLF's if you aren't sure what I'm talking about:

Not exactly sure why somebody felt the need to change the title of my thread, but I stand by the fact that printing for me is the pits. If the above doesn't explain my situation well enough, then I guess the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.

I agree with you, but I doubt it will be changed.

As I said, it's not a bug. It's a setting on your computer. I have my fonts set to default, and here's what I get from a roster print:

I should note that roster and statistics printing works fine for me--was agreeing with his complaints about html-only logs, box scores.

Box scores and logs look fine, too. Hmmm.

fonts set to default where?Unfortunately, I have no clue. I just recall reading somewhere on here about someone who wasn't getting it to line up, but when they change their font settings back to default somewhere, it worked fine for them.

That is exaclty what I'm looking for and is what I recall from previous versions. Now, I just have to figure out what setting on my PC is screwed up.

dola, and SkyDog, that is a direct print to pdf file? Or did you print to generic printer first?

My fineprint products (fineprint, and pdfFactory) were both using Arial for whatever reason. I installed Acrobat 7 standard and now I'm getting the correct pdf format.

I have no idea what the hell is wrong with those apps but I am officially withdrawing my complaint about the roster printing.

I still think the other options should allow for text or HTML, but I highly doubt Jim would even go near that.

Sorry I coudn't be more helpful with where to look, but that's good info the next time this question comes up. I couldn't find the other time or two this came up here, or I would have pointed you to those posts.

Sorry for being cranky, I just love my printouts :)
