Money, gift cards, and an...Iron?!?
How about the rest of you?
A promise that we will be going to get a Wii when they are easy enough to find that we can just walk in and get one when we want to. This was instead of the typical gift-exchange with the wife. We will be getting this for both of us.
Oh and some clothes.
Nice gift with the iron there. I got a fire extinguisher one year. I guess they are better than a combination hairbrush/shoehorn.

I got to be a real buccaneer today. The PotC DVD came with a pin that has a battery-powered pirate with his eyes lighting up!
Bunch of history books.
And the new U2 18 Singles CD and the U2 By U2 book.

PS3, a tie, some clothes, Guitar Hero 2 (which doesnt work with PS3), Genji (for PS3), a automobile lifesaver toolkit, a check for $100, a gift card to the car-spa, a giftcard to Chik-fil-a, but Ashley's family hasnt come over to exchange gifts yet!!
The problem (and Im not complaining) about the PS3 is that its the kind of gift that forces you to upgrade all your technology in '07. 1080p possible TV, new tuner, etc. I need another poker win :)

Lots of gift cards to Best Buy, coffeemaker, so far... although we're at the inlaws, and the wife and I don't exchange gifts until New Year's Eve when we're back home. That's when the good stuff comes - although the BB gift cards are either going to a Wii or a new TV.

Gift card, the book "Crosley", XM radio and boombox, couple of reds shirts. My best gift was watch my 8 month old do her thing this morning with all the stuff we had laid out. Christmas used to be the best day of the year for me, it is now again with a little one.

a few gift cards, some books I've been wanting, a 1974 Red Sox pennant (year of my birth), Red Sox hoodie, a scarf in the Clan Cameron tartan, and a nifty case for my ipod.
The real treat was watching all of the kids open their presents this year, especially the twins. We got Catherine a set of dress up hats and a Barbie purse filled with accessories. I'll see if the picture I took of her this morning will post here.

Mum, dad, grandma, uncles: money. Bro gave me a photo of the 2 of us together in a frame, pretty nice since I don't have any of that at my place. The girl got me a new pair of amazing RayBan sunglasses and her parents gave us 2 Creative webcams, one for each of us.

Biggest thing I got was luggage...finally, when I travel, I have real luggage instead of having to use old soccer bags. I guess now that I'm in the real world, it's a good idea to look like I'm not a kid anymore. :)
I also got some more threads for use in some of my stitching projects, The Incredibles DVD (full screen---wonder if I can exchange it for WS), some money, a book, gift card for Victoria's Secret...
I think the highlight of Christmas for me was watching my mom open the giraffe picture I stitched for her. I got my dad some Craftsman tools (which I knew he could use) and got my sister some small items (as I got her a rather large gift for her birthday), so the thing for my mom was the one I was most "concerned" about. Sadly my brother and his wife and stepson weren't with us as they did Christmas with her family (in TX), so it was kind of a bummer.
We've got some of my mom's friends coming over for Christmas dinner, I guess I'll get ready to be social.

cool picture and ditto on the most fun of the day. Either watching my 9 year old go crazy as he unwrapped some of the gifts he was expecting and some he wasn't (like an MP3 player that made him go "What's that?" at first and then "woah, cool" once he got it ;)) or my 3 year old running around asking "Is this one for me?" and then tearing through the paper with excitement, it was a very fun evening.
As for me, not much, but still all very nice stuff:
a very nice leather padfolio
Invincible DVD
Jet Li's Fearless DVD
Da Vinci Code DVD
Need for Speed: Most Wanted (for the gamecube)
I also got my son and I one of these Headbanger big kick thing (http://www.funrise.com/headbangers/index.html). We've tried it for something like 10 minutes and that was a lot of fun. :)
I also gave my wife season 1 and 2 of House, but it was about as much for me as it was for her. Not really the same as Homer giving Marge a bowling ball, since she loves the show, but I will get as much of a kick out of watching the DVDs as she will, so... Was the first time that I've thought buying a season of any TV show was a good idea, as we just started watching this show this season and have not seen many of the previous season shows...
Oh, and my mom gave us all these crazy full packed stocking. Man there must be some $50 of stuff in there. Not counting the $50 bill that was in an enveloppe with two movie free pass, I had among other things a small air compressor (one that fits in the glove box), a digital tire pressure gauge, some shower gel, a pair of flannel relaxed pajama pants with a t-shirt, a can of cashews. She does that every year and believe me, we give her back our stocking (which have our names sewed on) so she can pack them again for next year. :)

I didn't get very much, but let's see if I can remember:
Creative Zen Vision:M 30GB (the "big" gift for me this year)
I-Dog to use as a speaker for the Creative Zen at work
A few CDs that were on my Amazon wish list
A book or two that was on my Amazon wish list
Slapstick Encyclopedia DVD collection
The Weird Al Show DVD set
A stuffed puppy dressed in New Jersey Devils gear from Build-A-Bear
A t-shirt with my first name printed on it in binary
A Memphis Grizzlies t-shirt
A Denver Broncos bumper sticker
A vacuum for my car (!)
I think that's it. There might be something else, but I've already forgotten. It's mostly pretty silly stuff, but I like it, except for the car vacuum. This came from a friend of my mom's, and he tends to give us stuff that he probably got off eBay and decided that he didn't need. I appreciate the thought, but I'll probably just end up throwing this thing into the basement. :)

USB Chiller (keeps your drink cold and plugs into a USB port)
Holy hell...I now know what I'm asking for my birtday!Don't waste your money. Sorry RA, but the USB Chiller is giant POS. I got two - had one and sent it back for a replacement when it didn't chill - and sent the second back when it just turned out to be a crappy product. It chills itself very nicely, but it will have zero effect on any beverage you try. It won't even keep a can of soda straight out of the refrigerator colder any longer than if it were just sitting on your desk. I even tried to chill an empty aluminum can, and it barely managed to make the bottom of the can cold.
Worst. Product. EVER.

You know, stuff like that means so much more than a more expensive gift or whatnot, just because you know the sacrifice that had been made. I find it extremely difficult to accept those gifts, but I do so only because if you don't then it's actually a worse feeling for the gift giver.

He's playing football now and is supposedly NFL caliber. We were watching The Colbert Report about a month or so ago and Michael Lewis was the guest. I told my wife that the book sounded interesting and so she got it for me. I've only read the first chapter (and it's about Theismann and LT) but it's pretty good so far.

We all got very good gifts (my personel highlight was a Wayne Rooney England National team kit from my Wife) and my last minute, fluke pickup of a PS3 made us very popular with our Teenagers. But, as sappy as it may sound, the best gift of all was having all 5 of our Kids spending Christmas with us at the same time, a rare occurence, since my older two were out of state for a while and all of them (2 her, 3 me) come from our first Marriages. It has always seemed like Holidays were always split between different Parents households at different times.
In addition, my 20 year old Son leaves for the Navy in two weeks and there is no guarantee he will always be able to get home for Christmas over the next 4 years so I cherished it even more......went by way too quick though. :(
Besides an award for the longest lurker in fofc history I got
$$$
a boat load of ISU spirit wear I (my third college who knows maybe this one will stick)
a bears and a coors light neon sign to join my margaritaville sign for my bar
a gift card to best buy (which will buy a wii for my girlfriend)

You got some serious gifts, man.. Munoz autograph, Palmer Jersey, Little Miss Sunshine, Casablanca, Shane. :) The ultimate gift for anyone who bears that name, I think.. We Shanes all should own a copy..
I'm envious of the Palmer Jersey.
As for me..
I got Little Miss Sunshine as well, My Chemical Romances latest disc, Mos Def's "Tru3 Magic" is on preorder.. Clerks 2, 2 Soundpool sample DVD's for use with my new computer with the 7.1 surround sound card.. One step closer to having that bedroom music production studio become a reality.. And some money, some clothes, and good times with friends and family.
Oh, and though it isn't everyones cup of tea, I also smoked some extremely potent mary jane last night which is just now wearing off completely after 8 hours of sleep.
I had thoughts and visions which I never thought I could think or visualize last night.

Double edit: There's a Smokey Bones in Baton Rouge where you could use it instead. I have no idea how far away that is, though. Might be way too far away for some BBQ...
I live 15 miles from the center of Baton Rouge now, so I doubt it is too far away ;)
Thanks for the suggestions!

She still lives in NJ or I would :(
I am flying her down here (after finally getting her over her fear of flying this past October when she flew for the first time) and treating her to everything in March.
