Alright so I have a PS3 however my tuner doesnt support HDMI throughput. Therefore Im running the HDMI directly to the TV yet Im going to run the optical sound to the tuner. The PS3 magazine said that this is possible but Ive never tried it on any component before.
I have Genji (eh) and Madden '07 (look amazing but havnt dived fully in yet), I rented Fight night which seems great and Resistance: Fall of Man which also seems cool but very hard for those, like myself, not used to a Playstation controller.
Now what should I do? Are there some critical accessories Im missing? Is there a must have game (Hoops 2k7 NCAA) comes out shortly, right? What else...
EDIT: very very very dissapointed Guitar Hero doesnt work on it....yet. I asked for a PS2 and GH2 and got half right...in the right direction though :)

I got one as well, have it hooked up through HDMI- played Madden, and Resitance and agree with what you said on both. I looked through all the games, but those seemed to be the only two that really struck me. Is there one game that is a must have for this?
I can't get the wireless to work to save my life- I hate wireless, it never works on anything in my house.

Nope. Worse set of launch titles I have ever seen.

NBA 2k7, unless you already have it for the 360 (although it has some improvements on the PS3). If you have even a remote interest in basketball, it's the game to get.
and
I wouldn't say this is the worse set of launch titles ever considering the 360 was even worse on launch.

nba 2k7 is a great game. Found some sliders on Operation Sports and have had very good results playing 48 minute games.
Also picked up Fight Night for my son, very fun. Also got him Tiger Woods 2007. I haven't played it yet but came home and watched him and it looked very good. The face creator is awesome, my son made his face for the game and it looks just like him even in close up. I think it took him a bout an hour for face, body, and accessories.
Really looking forward to "The Show" this spring.

Madden looks super cool and Resistance: fall of man is definitely good too. Also have Need for Speed: Carbon and Fight night 3, both solid titles IMO that look real nice. Agree with Deattribution that this launch is better than the 360 launch group.
My only major disappointment is without a doubt, no NCAA 2007 Football.

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance is definitely worth a rental, at worst.

bought it tonight but after playing it i might exchange it for something else shortly. I dont think the top down view can take advantage of the rig...i wasnt blown away.

Resistance is definitely the best of the group. NBA 2K7 and NHL 2K7 would be close behind. I would echo others that Fight Night, Madden and Tiger Woods are all pretty good games. Fight Night is the best of those 3 games.
March is the big time for games for PS3. There's several very good games that are expected to be released the first weekend in March.

Go to the 'Playstation Store'. They have movie previews and game demos where you can try some games out. They also have a few downloadable games for 5-10 dollars. Gran Turismo HD is one of the available downloads.

I have a PS3.
It's in it's box still, preparing for possible return. No final decision has been made.

I would say keep it... I've played a few games of Madden (typical Madden series with hyped up graphics), an hour of Tony Hawk (awesome graphics and I didn't have any refresh errors or "skips" yet) and a few rounds of Fight Night (turn the friggin sound up.. amazing!). I can't wait to grab a racing game or possibly a cycle game.

FYI....you might want to take a look at the F1 championship demo if you're interested in a racing game. It's looking very good even in the early stages. I'm looking forward to that one.
