FOF2K7/TCY question

I am doing a draft pick dynasty in FOF2K7 where I play a season in TCY and import the rookies into FOF2K7. My season in FOF2K7 is in the year 2031. Some of the rookies I import in TCY birthdates are in the 1980's. I am noticing that a lot of GOOD rooks are retiring in their 2nd or 3rd year in FOF2K7. These rooks could be stars if they stayed around and developed.

Could the fact that the TCY players ages are in their 40's-50's when imported into the year 2031 have anything to do with this?

If I simmed 20 TCY years, will the college ages change to reflect? And where in TCY does it tell you the year? That way, I can get some properly aged rooks.

Yes. The years will change. The year of birth is listed on the main page of each player's card, after height, weight, and team.
