I don't know if this bug has been found yet, but check it out.

Situation: Kansas City (my team) is leading 24-21 over the Titans with 1:39 left in the game. Tennessee is pinned at their own 12-yard-line.

Possession to Tennessee.

1-10-TEN12 (01:39) TEN 12 Cooley pass was dropped by 80 Sanders.

2-10-TEN12 (01:26) TEN 12 Cooley pass fell incomplete, intended for 83 Thames.
KC 98 Conley hurried the quarterback into a bad throw.

3-10-TEN12 (01:18) TEN 12 Cooley pass fell incomplete, intended for 80 Sanders.
KC 92 England hurried the quarterback into a bad throw.

4-10-TEN12 (01:06) TEN 12 Cooley pass was underthrown, intended for 84 Andrews.
Penalty: TEN - Intentional Grounding.

5-20-TEN02 (01:01) TEN 34 Devine ran inside the left guard for -2 yards and a
safety.
Tackled by KC 93 Noyes, assisted by KC 98 Conley.

Now, I'm glad I got a safety, but FIFTH-AND-20? There's no excuse for that error being in the game . . .

Sheesh.

Well I can think of a couple college games where there has been a fifth down. Maybe Jim is just trying to capture referee incompetence.

To be fair, the game fails to recognize a turnover on downs when there is an accepted penalty with loss of down on a fourth down. This strikes me as a pretty unlikely scenerio and could easily get missed in testing because it never occured.

All I can think of is that it's a bug caused by the Intentional Grounding penelty. It would seem that the game does not check to see if it is fourth down on a penelty that has "loss of down" attached to it.

I would email Jim about this error so it gets into the summer patch.

Yeah, but in college that usually only happens after a good period of time has gone by since the end of the game.

The ref usually needs time to replay the entire game.

Oh yeah, and congratualations to the Miami Hurricanes for winning the National Championship in their Fiesta Bowl victory over Ohio State.

I know it's a "known bug" already but very often when I play a season, the game stops after the 5th pre-season week and I must reload it.

What, you didn't hear? Two weeks ago the linesman, after replaying the final play in his head a few times, decided that on the final play Buckeye's defensive end Will Smith was offsides and threw his flag.

They went back to Tempe and the 'Canes won

(So basically no, I can't. And I'm a Big 10 fan.)
