Dealing with a fumble machine

I have a Tiki on my team; he's on the verge of stardom, but has fumble fingers. What should I do to remedy this? Should I put more time on running plays in training camp?

And no, from what I know, he's not leaving to become a sportscaster...:rolleyes: :D

Trade him.

That happened to me with Laurence Maroney when I was running the current Pats. Nothing I did worked. Nothing at all.

So, unless he's far superior enough to keep him and just eat the fumbles as the CODB, I'd say move on and get someone else.

What do you consider a fumble machine? I'm to the point now where 4 or less per season from my starter (300ish carries) is pretty good.

Is he still fairly young? I've had guys who struggle their first few seasons but then become very reliable over time.

Over 5 catches my eye. I once had a guy in double digits for 3 str8 years. I kept him around cuz he was a stud. 4.7 +, and all 3 years was the leagues leader - to go with an MVP in the middle. I was just hoping he'd learn, but it never happened. He continued his success with his next team; and his failures too. My next back wasn't as successful, but the team was better - so I think it was a good move.

I agree with the growling bear. ditch him, but quick. Nothing you can do about it.

Do AI teams take into account his fumbling when trading? I haven't played enough to know but do AI teams take into account players stats? Or is it simply ratings that are accounted for?

I had this happen with Brian Calhoun of Detroit, to the point where I gave up on him. His other numbers were above-average to great, but his 12+ fumbles a year drove me insane, so I drafted a RB high to replace him and let him rot on the bench for a couple of years until I could afford to cut him.

I'd say he averages a fumble a game. I HAVE to take into account he broke a finger this season and would fumble almost every series if I started him, but he will get about 10 this season, not including his injury.

He's a 3rd year player, 66/69 right now. Not a superstar, but good.

I'm noticing something interesting...the Offensive Coordinator for my team is using the RB less and less and the FB more and more...

66/69 ?? I would doubt that's good enough to eat the fumbles as a cost of doing business. I'd think he's gotta go.
