... it's the wrong frickin' coach :(

GT offensive coordinator Patrick Nix has been hired for the same position at the University of Miami.

Meanwhile, a GT assistant says that it's now 100% official that Chan Gailey will remain in Atlanta, with reports now indicating Cam Cameron will get the Dolphins job.

I couldn't be happier that Mr. Nix has found employment elsewhere.

And better than that, Tech will get to play against his offense every year.

True dat, but it's still a disappointment for me overall.

One idiot gone, but another remains. Knowing Chan, he'll hire Reggie as his OC.

I'm optimistic, particularly because it looks like Radakovic has flexed his muscles a bit in making the Nix change happen. I'm hopeful he makes Gailey hire a real OC.

That would be AWESOME.

A few years back, Cam Cameron would have been the last guy I would have expected to become an NFL head coach. He was a horrible college head coach and even great college coaches often struggle in the NFL... We may never see Kodos again.

It'll be interesting to see which direction the OC goes. And how much of a better shot at a top-notch guy we'd have gotten with CJ still around. ;)

Here's to hoping (praying) he has been released from the bondages of Chan and can produce a solid offense.

I think you'll find that his general gameplanning is decent, but that he can't adjust in game to save his life.

Plus, he was Reggie's QB coach for four years. Enjoy it.

I prefer to think of him as Taylor Bennett's QB coach! Stop trying to kill my hope dammit!:D

Great. I thought Gailey was calling the offensive plays almost all of Reggie Ball's collegiate career and he only loosened the reins late this season.

We're going to be stuck with Chan Gailey forever. He got a contract extension and nobody else is going to hire him away from Tech.
