CINCINNATI, OH
The much-maligned Cincinnati Bengals have hired skydiver SkyDog as Special Assistant of Player Development. Coach Marvin Lewis cited SkyDog's lack of criminal convictions as a beacon of change for the NFL's most lawbreaking franchise.
"SkyDog not only excelled on the playing field, but his pristine criminal record is something we hope our players look at as an example," said Lewis.
Lewis was stoic on the subject of SkyDog's legendary temper.
"I don't even get what the problem is. It's not like any of our players are women or restaurant waiters, um, except for that one guy works at Olive Garden. He'll do a fantastic job of representing the Bengals organization, as long as everybody remembers to bring their sleeping bags."
