<!-- ===================[ STORY BODY : RICH TEXT ]================= --> (KSL News) -- The United States Mint released Utah's Commemorative Quarter today, but only a lucky few got one.
Bob Campbell, All About Coins Owner: "The first coin was actually bought by Governor Huntsman this morning."
This Sugarhouse shop received ten sets of collector coins from Washington D.C. and has sold them all.
Utah's quarter displays the Golden Spike that finished the Transcontinental Railroad at Promontory Point in 1869.
The public will have to wait until October to get the new Utah quarter.

It's not as blatant as the image on the front of the one Euro coin. Since Norway isn't part of the EU, they were left off of the map of countries. Sweden and Finland combine to make, well, you be the judge.

For a softball toss, you barely got the ball out of the infield. ;)

This quarter is just not realistic at all. The real Utah quarter would be blank, in honor of how Utah is officially a "No Fun" Zone.

LOL!!

Actually, if it talked about the county where I live, yeah...

But between SLC, Park City, and Logan you can actually do a lot. But yeah, you pretty much right...

I saw the thread title "The Utah Quarter" and started wondering if they had made their own version of the French Quarter in Salt Lake City. That sounds like it'd be a hoot.

I knew a guy on tour that got a Golden Spike while in Utah.

In fact he claimed to have been involved in a train as well.

Seems to me the quarter is perfect if Utah wants to be known as the crossroads of anonymous gay sex.
