That was cool. It would have been 20 times cooler during the SB. With all that hoopla around those stupid shows like the Bachelor, I'd have to think some company would have gotten more for their money than some of the lame commercials that we saw. I would think a lesser known company trying to make a splash would have done it. I think apparently it was very close to happening but the plug got pulled a day before the game, and then CBS was maybe still going to air it but told the guy in the 3rd quarter that it wasn't happening.

Good idea.
I know with my horrendous luck, my wife would've had to work late and missed the show, and my TiVo wouldn't have recorded the show by accident. How much did the commercial cost I wonder? It was Veronica Mars, is that on the WB or UPN? He lucked out that her Favorite show wasn't American Idol, Lost, or Heroes, some show where it would cost him a gazillion dollars to put an add out.

WB and UPN combined this last summer/fall, it's now the CW. Veronica Mars airs after Gilmore Girls.

Apparently it cost the guy $5000 to run the commercial locally in Seattle, I think that is where he is from anyway. So he gets the same result for 2 million less :)

Wow, never watched either network or either of those shows, and now that they have combined into one network, my viewing habits remain unchanged.
