So I just got the 360 and I picked up the HDTV VGA cable to hook it up to my LCD monitor. I'm having a graphics problem though... with every image that is displayed (in game or in the console menus) there's a faint shadowing of pictures and text.
For example when I play GRAW I see my crosshairs, but there's three or four faint outlines of it to the right of that. With text a word like "Power" would appear like this:
Power(wer)
With the "wer" being a faint shadow of the text, the Po is repeated as well as a shadow but it's under the end of the normal text.
Any tips on how to fix this, it's awfully annoying.

Did you buy the Microsoft VGA or a knock-off brand? I had the same problem (bought the Pelican for $14.99), but never fixed it cause I finally bought an HDTV.
Make sure all the connections are seated properly.

What resolution are you using?

Only thing I can think of is: what is your monitors response time? Mine is 8ms and if yours is higher, that could be the problem.

That's not a standard HD resolution, which means most games are going to be up or downsampled. Have you tried a standard HD resolution? If you are on a 4:3 monitor, try 960x720 and see if the same thing happens.

How would one change that?

960x720 is not an option in my 360 menu... 1280x1024 is. But I've tried every resolution setting and it happens with all of them. I should point out that this isn't just happening in games, it happens in the console menu as well.

Just out of curiousity, what's the brand and model of your LCD monitor?

Not sure if this will help or not... but when I play GRAW or Tiger Woods the games appears widescreen on my 4:3 monitor, like playing a widescreen DVD on a standard def TV. Is this normal?

I checked the specs and it's 8ms. I have a BenQ 20" widescreen monitor using the same resolution and it works great.

Depends on the game. Microsoft requires that you support 16:9, and allows you to support 4:3 either natively or by using the built-in scaler which takes the 16:9 image and letterboxes for you. GRAW single player does the latter, while the multiplayer portion of GRAW will give you a true 4:3 or 16:9 render depending on your settings.

Might need to adjust the pitch of the monitor in the settings. Or 1280 by 1040 may not run at the refresh rate that you want it to run at.
