Just did a change (due to injury and general hopelessness) from a 3-4 to a 4-3; It seemed to be much better against the rush. Is this too broad of a generalization? (Btw my 4th lineman is just as bad as my 4th lb)

Just did one game and I know it would be stupid to make broad generalizations -- but I figured this topic had come up before and I was looking for knowledge
(it's hard to search for 3-4 vs. 4-3 and get any results)

I've had some luck before switching to a 4-3 when I'm up against a heavy rushing team, but it depends on the D-Linemen vs LBs. I've also led the league in rush defense running a 3-4. I do know that if you run a 3-4, you really need solid LBs, so if you've got a poor LB or two you're probably better off running the 4-3.

I can say from experience that you can lead the league in rush defense with either in the past versions of FOF. That said, I am having a hard time of the new defensive gameplanning screens as I am not sure exactly how much I should be using aggressive playcalling.
