Anyone else watching this? I *really* enjoyed the books, and 3 episodes into the series...feh. I'm not impressed.

I haven't read the books, but a friend of mine has so I decided I wanted to watch the series. Seen one and a half episode so far and I'm, just like you, not impressed. A "meh" for me..
I like the premises though, urban magic or whatever, but the storylines felt boring. I heard the third episode was supposed to be the first book; since you've read the books, can you confirm this?

It's loosely (and I mean really loosely) based off one of the books, but not the first. 2nd or 3rd, as I recall. Everything is very, very VERY different from the books as it stands right now. Some of which, no worries, it's TV. Some of which I just see no purpose in changing, and in my mind, makes it worse. The plots right now are exceptionally dry. Too much CSI:Chicago going on for my taste.
From the review I read on CNN few weeks back, SUPPOSEDLY it gets better a few more espisodes in. Which...it better.
Edit: Oh, and read the books. They are fast, easy, fun reads, and he really improves with each book.

I love the books, and I didn't like what I saw at all in the previews, looked very different from the books, so I haven't even bothered watching it.

Meh is a fair description so far. Agree with CW, the changes from book to tv are puzzling at best. Still, the show has been an entertaining enough diversion for 45 minutes a week, and I'd rather support this than most of the other televised options out there. I'll keep watching, and keep hoping the show hits a hot streak soon.
Also, if you love the Dresden books, Butcher's fantasy series (Codex Alera) is quite entertaining as well. Only 3 books win, but all are fun reads.

Haven't read the books yet, although they're on my list. Show has been decent enough so far that we're still watching it (although haven't seen this week's ep yet), but not so much that it's a can't-miss. We'll keep watching at least a fe wmore.
