MLB2007 mod released for MVP Baseball 2005 (PC)

I found this yesterday and it's pretty cool if you own already EA's MVP Baseball 2005 that is probably one of the best baseball games ever released imho. I have installed the mod and it looks awesome and will calm me down until MLB07 the show is released. Even better, the mod is free.

It has:

- 2007 rosters.
- 2007 schedule
- Updated uniforms and logos (like the new diamondbacks red one).
- New stadiums designs.
- Some gameplay tweaks (smaller throwing meter to make it was more difficult to pitch accurately)
- Tons of new graphics, textures, players faces, etc.
- Max resolution upgraded up to 1900x1600

To treat my baseball fever (while waiting to see if OOTP 2007 is worth a purchase) I think I'm going to buy MVP 05 for the PC tomorrow (saw it on sale at a local gamestop for only 9.99) rather than rent MLB 2k7 for the 360 or the Show for the PS2. Besides this mod, are there any other mods that I should download to make the game more fun?

A patch is now available in the download section which resolves many issues in MVP 07.

Starting a new dynasty with '07maker' after installing this patch is recommended.

Speaking of MVP, I picked up a copy of MVP 2005 today at Gamestop for $7 and downloaded the 2007 roster.

MVP 05 with the 2007 patch is awesome. It totally fills the void. I just hope the guys continue working on it going forward till another developer steps up to fill the PC-baseball-joystick-jockey void

I tried reinstalling mvp and it is getting hung up on the second disk were it tries to install spotday.big............is there any way to get around this..............thks

Should have done this a LONG time ago. Had a great game tonight, stats were perfect, fielding is great and I love "hitter's eye" anyday over "guess pitch".

How does hitter's eye work?

Contemplating trying to find this myself. I've been having a blast playing The Show, but it's easier to get PC time than TV time at my place, so a PC game would be even better. :)

Basically when the pitcher starts his windup, the ball with flash a color for the type of pitch - nothing (FB), red (CB), green (CU), etc... The thing is, a good pitcher who covers up the ball in his glove longer gives you much less time to see the ball. Even when you do see what it's going to be, with the closer camera view (you can change it, but I like the challenge) you have little time to make a decision.

REALLY appreciate the great rosters kg did over at eamods.com.
