It just doesn't seem like time for Daytona. Anyway, like 20 some odd laps to go. Some dude just got run over on pit row.

And the inevitable green/white/checker finish coming up.

Mark Martin has been my favourite for many years. I really hope he can pull it off.

Something about coming back stronger then ever ring a bell?

Predictable fucking finish to another fucking restrictor plate race. I'm so damned sick & tired of watching the frigging demolition derby at the end of every damned race where they artificially stack up the cars.

And it really spoils for me what was an otherwise incredible finish with the final margin just .02 seconds.

Harvick got a nice run to win it. You could see him coming though for about the entire last lap.

Martin should have won that race. They were still racing when those 20 odd cars wrecked. Why no yellow? In normal circumstances the yellow is thrown and Martin wins. I agree about the plate races. Its more about surviving than racing.

I'm of the same mind. I understand letting them race to the line, and I would be fine with that except that it isn't the same rules they run the rest of the race under and more importantly, I don't believe for a minute that they would have let the other 35 races end without throwing the caution.

You're right. I have seen numerous races in the same circumstances and the yellow is thrown but not this one. If that was the rule to let them race to the line then fine but why different rules for different races?

Here is the problem, SPEED just showed a frame by frame, for 2 seconds after the "start" of the wreck Harvick was leading then Martin passed him then was passed back.

Its just one of those damn exactly when does the caution fly.

Still I would feel better if it was flown at all.

The big gripe I have is the Truck race finish. Benson goes all the way below the yellow to take 2nd when 2 other drivers were sent to the back for going below during the race...
