I just played my first game of the 2013 season against the Packers. My offense played pretty well, besides not getting into the end zone and the Packers offense played pretty poorly but still won 16-10 in OT, largely because my kicker missed 2 field goals. Since their QB had a bad game I was curious who the player of the game was, and if was possible that one of my players could win it even though we lost the game.
Game MVP: WR Michael Brandenburg, Green Bay Packers
He played on special teams, but he didn't have any rushing yards, tackles, fumble recoveries, pancakes, or anything weird like that, and his special teams unit even allowed a kickoff return for a touchdown. Again, he made no tackles or anything else as his name is only mentioned in recieving categories, so he was the MVP of the game purely for his receiving effort.
He was on the field for 14 passings plays over the course of the game, and was only targeted once by the QB. And ... he dropped the ball.
