What is a clown ? How he is used ? What for ?

I vaguely recall it being something along the lines of a player with high leadership (aka team leader) who doesn't play in the games.

But since I'm just guessing ... Bump.

Team Leader
sometimes you'll find a very old player in a team and wonder why he wasnt sold. in fact he perhaps was bought to fulfil a certain need. if you look at him more closely you will find that he is a very sympathetic guy with high leadership abilities. this is a team leader who raises the team spirit.
the player with the highest leadership factor will become team-leader (has nothing to do with the team-captain as assigned for matches). if he is very popular the teamspirit will raise if he is nasty it would have a bad influence. a problem can be if you got more than one player with the highest leadership in team. then you cant know who of these is taken as the team leader. so...

you should have one team member who has -as the only one*- the highest leadership and is very popular.
agreeability (worst first): nasty, controversial, pleasant, sympathetic, popular, beloved team member (whom i have never seen)

the team leader doesn't have to play matches at all and therefore is sometimes called 'the clown' of a team.
