Hi. My name is ..... and I am addicted to FOF2K7. I spend countless hours playing every day, go to bed late, get up early for work (sometimes barely staying awake), then repeat the process all over again.
We wife makes fun of me for staying up late and playing it, having said that I was going to bed hours ago.
Am I alone?

Yes, it's just you. Noone else stays up late scouring the free agent list for a dimeback who can also return punts.

Ya, and I definitely don't stay up late scouting the next draft class trying to find the next Walter Payton, Peyton Manning, or Jerry Rice. ;)

This version for me, is so much harder. I've taken over the Raiders in 2006 and had a surprisingly good season, but I needed a franchise QB. Too bad, I was on the lower end of the draft and nobody would trade without me trading the future. I pretty much stink the next two years, but the drafts are very think as far as QB's go. 2009 draft and I'm #5, I take my guy and find out he's a bust!! Whoo hoo!! The life of a GM!
From low talent FA, to players who only want 1 year contracts, to finding a star QB, this game is head and shoulders above 2004. It's tough.. it's addicting. Stayed up until 2am last night for that, "just one more game" feeling. :)
I think one more patch to address some of the minor bugs should just about complete Jim's latest masterpiece.

It's amazing how long I do that. Just one more game...just let me do the draft....just wait until after training camp....before I know it it has been several hours past my bed time :)

I find it's much easier to control if I cut it with a few other games: a little FOF, a little Guitar Hero, a little Rayman, a little Saints Row ... so for example, today I could say, "No, I wasn't staying up late last night playing FOF."

Agreed. I've won the Super Bowl ONCE in a 30 year career, but it's still more fun than any other version.

The game is very challenging. I started with the Bears and won SBs 3 and 4 and thought the game was too easy. Now I've suffered through 4 seasons of chronic mediocrity (10-6 but no playoffs, 9-7, 7-9, 8-8) and can't break out of it. I can't bear the thought of rebuilding. I'm sticking with a young QB who fumbles a lot and is up and down (another Grossman? Help!). I have not had one player I drafted become a superstar. maybe i just need to stay up later...
