I've noticed when importing a CSV file that the imported ratings are pretty high. I've used the 2006 file and I'm getting teams averaging 80-100 PPG for the most part. FG, FT, and 3P % are very high.

So I tried messing around with the player file editor in the game for creating a import file, no luck the ratings still seem a little too high.

Anyone have any ideas? I know when the 2004 file was imported this wasn't an issue but it might have been with a previous version of the game.

One of the problems is that after you import the players, you then run a training camp within the game, which improves the players beyond their import ratings. I remember I put together a few conferences worth of teams for last year's stats, and those teams were FAR too good. HR knows about this, and I think he said it's something he'll look at with the next version he releases.

Agreed.

I wander if there is anything I can do to combat that.

What I thought about doing was opening up the excel spreadsheet and reducing the players stats accross the board (lowering all player's assists, rebounds, steals, points scored, etc) by about 20-25%. Never got around to doing it though.

I'll try it and see what happens.

If this ends up working would you mind posting it?
