Why does poker run in such streaks for me? A few months ago my ROI was reaching 50%. It seemed I was hitting every draw - winning every race. For the past two months I can't keep a bankroll. Last night I played 5 S & G's and didn't cash in one 'cause of horrid beats. I don't think I'm steaming 'cause looking at my stats I'm seeing the same amount of flops, ect.
I'm sure many poker players go thru this but it just seems I can't get out of this funk...
Okay rant over...

I've been there. At least you don't make horrible plays late in MTTT's like I did last night...

Yeah, you don't want to suffer from these internet beats any longer!! Also, in live poker, you have a real live dealer. You can tell him or her that you will not accept bad beats.

Full Tilt cash games beat my ass. I've needed the bonus and the rakeback just to stay even.
Pokerstars SnGs are still easy money, though.
I hate poker. I haven't played it in over a year now and have no desire to ever play again. I did enjoy the extra income and wouldn't have bought my laptop, HDTV, or iPod without it, but I absolutely hate the game now. Can't even watch it on TV anymore.

I've just started to not care about poker anymore. I mean, I still have fun with it occasionally, but I've stopped playing with the intent of making serious profit.
Hell, I care so little about it that I probably blew $40 or $50 doing the "Ultimate SNG Challenge." For those who don't know what that is, you just push all in on every single hand. Since I like giving money away, I played 40 or 50 SnGs that way (9-person $1.25s on FTP). Yeah, it's a total waste of money, but I did finish second and third a few times. Obviously, over time, I'm losing money, but I was determined to be the first among my online poker friends to win this thing!

So, uh, since then, I haven't really played much poker. I no longer have anything to strive for. :(
why is that?
Just one day realized I hated it. Probably burnout. I think I stopped enjoying it long before, but tolerated it because of the money I was winning. It got to the point where even that wasn't enough. Once I actually stopped, it started actually turning my stomach when I thought of playing again.

Why don't we do FOFC tourneys any more?

From cartman's Face the Board answers:
The last one was right around the time of the port security bill passing. A lot of people pulled their money out, so I wasn’t sure what kind of numbers we’d get. If there is still interest, we can definitely get the ball rolling on these again. I think the next one is Colossal Squid #50.
