No comment on the fight at all, but damn that is some excessive advertising.

That was at once the most lopsided fight I've seen in a long time, and yet the kind of find that exemplifies exactly why I watch boxing.
Librado Andrade got his ass HANDED to him, and it could be argued he lost every round while getting tattooed by hard, efficient punches from Kessler. I think that at the end of the fight Andrade had landed just under 100 punches, while Kessler had landed closer to 350, most of which were power shots landing flush on Librado's chin.
Through all of that, Andrade not only only never went down, but continued to come forward and fight as best as he could, and although he was clearly over-matched in terms of talent, after watching 12 rounds of him continuing to walk through tremendous amounts of punishment, as a viewer you were left staring at his raw heart as an athlete in a way that fails to translate to any other sport that lacks the primal essence of two dudes just straight-up punching each other in the face. Towards the end of the fight, Kessler and Andrades embraced mutiple times at the beginning and ending of rounds, and by the end of the fight their admiration for eachother was obvious.
With all the complexities of other sports, it can be hard to appreciate the merits of a losing effort through the pads and gameplans and whatever, but it can still shine through in boxing sometimes, despite the shame that is its current corrupt, barren state. At the end of the fight, Andrade was asked how ahd why he could continue to come forward and take such punishment and continue to throw punches, despite being so obviously over-matched....mere moments after being relentlessly pounded steadily for 12 solid rounds, Librado Andrade, still breathing heavily, took a few seconds to contemplate and said in a healthy Mexican accent something to the effect of "I'm a time collector, and this fight is something I will always cherish in my collection."
Awesome!
